Many of you may have received this as an email from Achieve.org, but if not, here it is. Yesterday Achieve and several other organizations announced a partnership to help states establish assessment and accountability systems that will help ensure that high school students graduate ready for college or the workplace. A few more details about how the "Institute" will help the eight states chosen to participate can be found here:

Well isn't this timely! I didn't get this email so thanks for sharing. I'm curious if this is going to be a public or private venture, as Uri mentioned in class yesterday. Other than those listed as participating in the institute, how will the standards eventually be set? Who else will be involved in this process when they're actually ready to change state standards? Do you know?

Learned yesterday that I'll be giving a keynote at the first meeting on Nov 19th. Maybe, we can figure out what I should say
